FIATA is pleased to announce that a new staff member has joined the FIATA Secretariat in Zurich:
Daniel Bloch (42) can look back to a career within the international freight forwarding and airline industry.
After completing his apprenticeship in Zurich as a forwarding agent, he was working at first in the logistic department for an American producer of electronic devices. By changing to the airline cargo industry where he started as a cargo employee to continue soon as a Sales Representative covering Switzerland for a major European carrier. Returning from a long journey to South America he was during 12 years signing as the Cargo Manager Switzerland for an international Airline.
By taking care of procurement and logistic and acting as DGSA for a Swiss trade company, importing chemical specialities, Mr. Bloch extended his tour of the horizon. Extensive experience and knowledge of the forwarding and logistic business qualify him to take over the responsibilities for the Air Freight Institute, the Customs Affairs Institute, and the Advisory Body Information Technology at the FIATA Secretariat after the retirement of Sandro Consoli in April 2006.
