Winner of the 'Young International Freight Forwarder of the Year Award' in 2007

At this year's FIATA World Congress 2007 in Dubai, UAE, Mr Manfred Boes, FIATA President and Mr Andreas Mueller, Chairman of the Steering Group of the Award could announce Mr Siva Rama C. Vankineni from Canada as the final winner and bearer of the title "Young International  Freight Forwarder of the Year 2007"  

Mr Siva Rama C. Vankineni migrated to Canada three years ago and now works with Logistic Plus Canada Ltd. He is responsible for establishing the freight forwarding operations especially in project logistics for the energy industry. In the forefront of his selection as a regional winner he said "if at all I win the overall (international) Award, it would be the biggest achievement in my life so far and I would truly cherish the training planned for the final winner".

The international Award comprises:  

  • an International Certificate and a personal trophy
  • one week's practical experience of transport infrastructure (multimodal) which is likely to include visits to container terminals, airfreight terminals, ports, surveyors’ offices etc. The Steering Group will decide which country will provide the most benefit to the winner
  • one week's training on Legal and Insurance Aspects of Transport (classroom based training organised by TT Club) held in London 
  • on week's training on air cargo, provided by IATA in the nearest training IATA training location to the home town of the winner
  • one year's subscription of the International Transport Journal (ITJ) (Switzerland) and International Freighting Weekly (UK)
