We are so happy to be welcoming these new members and thank them for joining from all corners of the globe. The FIATA Secretariat was aware that the joining process could be automated through its website. By opening up the registration to the online audience, FIATA is promoting and expanding the amount of new members every month.

Abigail Mills, the IT manager, offered these simple comments that reflect an evident success: “On 2December 2015, this system was launched, making it possible for prospective FIATA members to apply online on our FIATA website registration page. By offering this readily available system to members, this shows a more accessible and helpful FIATA members’ community. I am pleased that FIATA is optimising its processes through new technology initiatives to better cater members’ needs”.

The step by step process is monitored on the website and can be viewed by members and the FIATA Secretariat at any time. In addition, the integrated emailing system informs the required person that new information can be dealt with immediately. This means that all those involved are well informed at all times, supporting a stable and fully communicative experience throughout the application process.

The FIATA Secretariat has also made sure that members are fully informed on how to use this new system, so that the transformation process is easy to adapt to for all. They have taken great lengths to make the new system easy to use by providing practical instructions for FIATA Association Members and prospective individual members. Prospective members can find the instructions on how to apply on the website here FIATA registration manual.

This is a great step for FIATA in adopting new technology to meet business requirements with action to real membership needs. Marco Sorgetti, Director General, commended the work done by the Secretariat and said that FIATA will continue to expand and embrace change as we launch initiatives that will support our thriving global industry.
