For almost 100 years, FIATA has been convening industry leaders and innovators in logistics at its flagship FIATA World Congress (FWC). This annual event, which takes place between September and October, brings together 800-1,500 participants from the logistics, transport, and cargo industries, as well as observers from other sectors and a significant number of institutional attendees. The FWC is an international event offering business, social and networking opportunities, as well as interaction with governmental and nongovernmental organizations. High profile speakers and policy issue debates are essential components of the FWC Programme.
The next FIATA World Congress will be held from 26-29 October 2021 at the Square Convention Centre in Brussels, Belgium. The FWC will be hosted by FIATA Association Member Forward Belgium, who represent freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistic service providers at the national level and is the focal point for matters related to shipping, customs, transport and logistics. The theme for the 2021 congress is 'The Changing Climate of Logistics'.
Logistics is changing in many ways and key challenges and trends are cropping up, transforming the daily life of logistics professionals. Therefore, topics such as innovation, education, digitalization, compliance, diversity, and the logistics sector responsibility to adapt to climate change will be high in the congress' agenda. COVID-19 and its impact on the industry will also be widely discussed.
